Keshi, Yobo Quit Super Eagles


Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, and captain of the team, Joseph Yobo, said yesterday that they were quitting the senior national team shortly after crashing out of the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Nigeria lost in the round of 16 to 1998 champions, France 2-0, at the Estadio Nacional in the Brazilian capital city of Brasilia.Vincent Enyeama, Osaze Odemwingie and other senior players are also considering their future with Eagles after the defeat at the World Cup.

Yobo, who scored an own goal on the day he marked his 100th appearance for Nigeria, said he had done his best in the 13 years he has played for the Super Eagles and that it was time for him to concentrate on club football
